Mandranova - Nocellara


  • Mandranova is grown and produced by Giuseppe and Silvia Di Vincenzo at the Azienda Agricola Mandranova in Palm di Montechiaro - Agrigento in Sicily, Italy.
  • The family run farm is located a few miles from the sea and groves are 100-200 metres above sea level.
  •  Mandranova Nocellara - 100% Monocultivar Nocellara del Belice
  • Grown, hand picked and crushed immedieately after harvest in their own mill.
  • A glorious extra virgin olive oil made from hand-picked olives at the beginning of October each year.
  • This is an intense dark green oil with golden hues.
  • The aroma is an intense fruitiness with hints of fresh cut grass.
  • The taste is complex with hints of medium ripe tomatoes, artichokes, basil and basil.
  • There is a pungency and bitterness that are in perfect balance and harmony and very pleasant.
  • Pungency and bitterness is a mark of a quality oil that is high in polyphenols which are a natural anti-oxidant.
  • Wonderful on typical Mediterranean dishes like tomatoes, eggplant, peppers grilled or raw tuna, pasta dishes, fish stew, grilled or roasted meats, hard mature cheeses, hearty vegetable soups, porchini mushrooms and of course toasted bread or bruschetta!
